Music is taught as a curriculum subject. All pupils have the opportunity of learning a musical instrument, and, where appropriate, are prepared for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music examinations.

A wide range of concert and public performances by Moreton Hall pupils regularly take place involving Pre-Prep and Prep pupils either as individuals , as part of the School orchestra, or in one of the choirs.

Moreton Hall pupils have won a number of Music Scholarships to public schools in recent years.

An expert team of visiting teachers enable a majority of Moreton Hall pupils to learn at least one musical instrument. Eminent musicians are regularly invited to judge the school's internal music competition and to lead workshops.

The School has also had, for a number of years, a Chorister link with St Edmundsbury Cathedral, and a number of Moreton Hall pupils are members of the St Edmundsbury Cathedral Choir. For information about Choral or Music Scholarships, please contact the School.
