A winner on Sports Day
In the Pre-Prep department the curriculum is structured into a four-year course which provides a sound basis for the next stage of schooling. The emphasis is on reading, writing and mathematics; however, to make schoolwork interesting, stimulating, and enjoyable, the syllabus also includes a wide range of other subjects designed to widen horizons and develop imaginations.

French is introduced in the second year of nursery and is taught throughout the school. Science becomes part of the curriculum in the Reception class, and Music, Dance and Sport are all included in the timetable.

The children are introduced to drama in all its forms through visiting performers, theatre trips and participation in productions throughout the year.

The individual needs of this age group are fully recognised. The children enjoy the comprehensive facilities of the main school and the skills of specialist staff, but the pre-prep has its own separate classroom block, teachers, play-area and auxiliary helpers.
